Seventeen shapes. The initial offering of Polish stoneware in the United States consisted of seventeen shapes. Today we are treated to an array of shapes numbering in the hundreds. Pattern decorations and colors have consistently been created by the gifted artists we have come to know by name.
We are appreciative of Ceramika Artystyczna's evolution of patterns and shapes. If not for the vision, guidance and nuturing relationship between Gloria and Ceramika Artystyczna, a part of history and a way of life would have faded without recognition of the true value they bring to the Boleslawiecz region in Poland and our homes here in the United States.
Twenty-three years ago, Country Living magazine featured the traditional charm and functionality of our Polish stoneware. Since inspiring Gloria back in the late 1980's, the allure of this art has captured the imagination and hearts of all of us. Staying true to the colors and geometry of the original, antique decorations, Ceramika Artystyczna's artists continue to elevate the purely functional into the joyous expression of their souls.
Thank you for loving Polish stoneware.
